What I've Learnt As A Counsellor
Madness Manchester And The Mind
Why Should You Listen To Me?

A decade ago, if you'd asked me what I wanted from life, I wouldn’t have had an answer. I was lost, unfulfilled, and just going through life on autopilot—not achieving anything. Many people around me, including myself, thought I was destined to live a struggling, disappointing life.

But everything changed thanks to a chance conversation and a bit of divine luck. During a seemingly ordinary discussion, something clicked. I realized that despite my mental health struggles in my early 20s, I had a unique understanding of the mind. This insight, coupled with the timely opportunity to take a short counselling course, became the foundation upon which I rebuilt my life.

Now, 10 years later, I'm a school counsellor helping others on their journeys while I study for my psychology PhD. Weirdly, breaking and hitting rock bottom turned out to be the greatest gift I’ve ever been given.

If you were to ask me why you should listen to me, I would say that my life’s path is now dedicated to helping others. This blog, "Madness, Manchester And The Mind," is an extension of that mission. It's a space where I store my thoughts, share my experiences, and hopefully offer support to those who need it. I invite you to join me here, where together we can explore the complexities of the mind and find ways to navigate the challenges life throws our way.
